Editorial Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

Game Ignite is a gaming-first publication. Our goal is to help players understand what is worth their time, what changed, and why a story matters beyond the press-release headline.

Editorial independence

Editorial judgment belongs to Game Ignite. Coverage decisions are based on player relevance, news value, platform impact, game quality, and reader usefulness. Advertising, affiliate relationships, sponsored opportunities, or key access do not guarantee coverage or positive treatment.

Sources and attribution

We prefer primary sources whenever possible: official game pages, publisher announcements, developer posts, platform storefronts, press kits, patch notes, trailers, interviews, and public regulatory or business filings. When a story relies on reporting from another outlet, we identify that context and avoid presenting unconfirmed claims as fact.

Original value

Game Ignite articles should add useful context for players. That can include analysis, comparison with previous entries, platform implications, practical recommendations, hands-on impressions, or a clear explanation of what remains unknown. We do not want thin rewrites that only restate a headline.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we aim to correct it clearly and promptly. Readers, developers, publishers, and PR teams can send correction requests to contact@game-ignite.com with the article URL and supporting source material.

Images and media

We prioritize official screenshots, key art, press-kit assets, storefront images, and relevant trailer stills. Images should match the covered game, platform, hardware, or subject. Generic placeholders are avoided because players deserve context, not decorative fog.
